BESST HORT is a Technology Business Incubator of ICAR-IIHR (Indian Institute of Horticultural Research). BESST HORT has been Catalysed and supported by NSTEDB division, DST, GoI, New Delhi. BESST-HORT is hosted by ICAR-IIHR. ICAR - IIHR is the first horticultural research institute in the country under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), was established on 5 September 1967.
ICAR – IIHR Hesarghatta, Bengaluru sprawling campus has been spread in 650 acres. ICAR IIHR has two of its research stations at Chettali, Coorg (Karnataka) and Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. It also two KVK’s under its control in Gonikoppal, Kodagu, Karnataka and Hirehalli in Tumkur in Karnataka.
BESST HORT envisages facilitating incubation of new start-ups, entrepreneurs & enterprises for innovative technologies by providing necessary technical & business mentoring, physical infrastructure, networking support, facilities and services to test and validate their venture before successful establishment of enterprises.
